1. a) Who Should Use Wipixel?

Everyone can use Wipixel, especially the general public and corporations.

1. b) Who am I?

I graduated from Ryerson University from their Architectural Science Programme - Project Management Option. I have no technical background at all but I have started several websites with some friends before. However, this is the only website by far that I'm passionate about because I feel good offering this site to everyone so we all can have fun with it. On top of to that, I wanted to help those in need by using this site as a vehicle to raise $100,000 and donate to hospitals (especially Sick Kids Hopsital) and cancer research.

2. What Are The Benefits of Using Wipixel?

I think there are plenty so let's break this down into two different categories: sponsors and users.

For our SPONSORS, the benefits include:

1. Be first to get involved in helping others by pixelling yourself via our site - be part of the history!

2. Be first to participate in such a new proven branding/marketing idea - we do 'pixel marketing', unlike the conventional online marketing as banner ads, rotation ads, Pay Per Clicks, email marketing, etc..

3. Increase brand awareness - your brand will be on our site for 12 months!

4. Increase traffic to your site - users will lead directly to your site as soon as they click on your brand.

5. Increase conversion rate - We will work with your company to encourage users to take action after visiting your site. We can arrange a meeting and discuss how we can work together to add value to the users, thus, increase the users' conversion/action rate.

6. Tracking - you will be able to know how many users visited your site.

7. More effective comparing to other online marketing methods - Your brand will be static
on our Homepage. This means users will be seeing your brand as soon as they visit our site as oppose to other form of online advertisement.

8. Cost effective - about $0.075 per pixel per year ($30 for a box of 400 pixels for one year)

9. We do the promotions so you don't have to!

10. Help those in need - For every dollar of sponsorship, we will donate half to hospitals and cancer research until the goal of $100,000 is met. It's effective, economical and for a good cause!

For our USERS, the benefits include:

1. It's FREE so you can use Wipixel any time and as frequent as you wish.

2. Wipixel will work with our sponsors to bring more value added products or services for you, may it be discounts, exclusive deals and the like. Please feel free to suggest something such as companies, products or services that you feel would interest you.

3. It's new & fresh - This is the new thing on the internet!

4. It's fun - You can pixel any image you want and share it with friends and family, may it be your picture, a message saying "Hi MOM!", or a group pictures.

5. You can link your image to your favorite URL so when your friends click on your image...there's ANOTHER surprise!

6. Express youself - When it's hard to express those "corny" words, you can always express them here and let Wipixel do the work for you!

7. Entertaining - It's fun to ask your friends or to find your own posting once all the pixels have been taken up. It's like finding Waldo! It's perfect when you're bored...remember to use the "Zoom" feature! =)

8. There's nothing to lose - Wipixel is not asking for money or anything from you. All was asked from you was to have fun with the site!

9. You can win prizes for finding Wipi!!!

3. When Will The Posting Expire?

The posting for our SPONSORS will be expired in 12 MONTHS. As for our users, it will be a few days - to ensure that we have enough "advertising estate" for others as well.

4. Where Will The Charity Money Go?

The money will go to hospitals (such as Sick Kids Hospital) and cancer research. Please feel free to suggest a hospital or organization that you would like the donated money to help.

5. Why Do I Want To Raise $100,000?

I live in a low income family and have a sick family member for as long as I can remember. I understand (and still expriencing) the emotional stress to see the pain that your love one has to endure every second of his or her life. The feeling of helplessness is just overhelming because there is nothing you can do about it. As a result, I hope I can raise some money to help others...to do something that I somewhat have control of. I'm selfish in a sense because it makes me feel better about it.

6. How did the name Wipixel come about?

Wipixel is short for "We're In Pixels". Basically, all computer screens that we stare at day in and day out are compose of pixels. They work together to form what we see. Hence, technically speaking we're all in pixels on the screen, the name "Wipixel" makes sense at the moment I name the site. More to that, it also make sense when I encourage users to "pixel" themselves. =)

About Us: Wipixel? Ads?

The idea is quite simple. When you visit Wipixel's homepage, you will be exposed to a LIVE piece of art work in the making. Sponsors and visitors will be the ones that will continually determine and shape how this piece of art will turn out by claiming an area as their own within the homepage. It's like putting your very own favourite sticker anywhere you like on a piece of empty canvas displayed for everyone to see and participate in an art gallery. What's even more exciting is that there is a hidden world behind every sticker. Some you may like and some you may not.

As a visitor, you can choose to look at it, post something on there for 30 days free, or try to see if you can find your friends' postings. To make it even more interesting, there is a hidden posting that you need to find, it's called "Wipi". Once you find it, you will be eligible to win a prize. To top that, I will continually seek and work with the site's sponsors to see how I can bring more values to visitors, may it be promotions or discounts. So it's like a mash of creating a piece of live art and treasure hunting. Of course by getting involved and encourage your friends to do so, you will be helping Wipixel to raise $100,000 for hospitals and cancer research from sponsors.

As a sponsor, you can post your brand, products or services as part of the live art work for a period of one year. This form of advertisement is different and completely new comparing to the norm of online advertisement such as rotating ads, text ads, pop-ups, etc. which are embedded in various locations throughout a site. On Wipixel, the advertisements will be static on the homepage, meaning visitors will see what you've posted as soon as they visit that page.

Wipixel is quite easy to use. It takes only 3 steps and less than 5 minutes to post an ad. In the "Get Pixels" section, users are welcome to upload their own image or to choose one from Wipixel's collections, link their favorite URL to the uploaded image, and add a short text message to let other users know what their advertisement is about. Do not hesitate to pixel yourself because there is nothing to lose! =)

ADVERTISEMENT SPONSORS WANTED!

We welcome businesses that want sponsor our site by having their advertisement posted on Wipixel for a longer period (12 months). The advertisement space of course is purchased in blocks (box) of pixels. The minimum purchase is one block for as low as $0.075 per pixel per year ($30 for a box of 400 pixels for one year).

Logically, the bigger the advertisement to be more apparent it is to visitors. This means sponsors would need to purchase more pixels. Furthermore, sponsors' ads will be displayed at Wipixel's homepage so when someone visits Wipixel.com, the visitor will be exposed to the ad right away. When visitors click on the sponsor's ad, they will be directed to the sponsor's site instantly. This presents opportunities for sponsor to offer value added products or services to visitors. This form of marketing is perfect for branding campaign and gets visitors to take action on purchasing something online.

In addition, by purchasing advertisement space on Wipixel, sponsors will help to raise $100,000 for charity. This is because for every dollar we received from our sponsors, half will be donated.
